Lake Pichola City Palace Blues Monday, November 23rd!

Poetry is a sort of homecoming. -Paul Celan, poet and translator (23 Nov 1920-1970)

Chloe Alexis Dunn How cute are the folks on their Indian adventure?!!? — with Corinne Durston and Patrick James Dunn.

Patrick James Dunn Great time at the City Palace in Udaipur yesterday. Lady Darjeeling in her new top, bought at one of the palace shops, standing beside the new hip flask she bought for me, just before dinner last night.

Patrick James Dunn Earlier, at the Palace, with her new best friend! She was so drawn to his mustache that she wanted to run away with him. He declined, saying he already had five wives and more importantly, had heard, via the various owners at the shops off the main square there that she was a fiendish Power Shopper and even his deep, deep pockets wouldn't keep her in the manner to which she'd become accustomed to living with Top-Drawer Trizzio!! Some guys have all the luck!

Chloe Alexis Dunn Glad Nana is feeling better and her shopping will no longer suffer!!

Patrick James Dunn Only thing suffering is her bank balance! Sorry I've not been in touch for last two days but I refused to pay for WiFi in Udaipur. Matter of principle! Lady Dar paid for connectivity today as she said she couldn't stand the whining! She's such a soft touch! Yesterday, just before getting in to our van, after we'd visited a great place to buy silver jewelry, our guide specifically told us not to give money to beggars and she emptied much of her change purse into a the outstretched hand of a young woman carrying a small child! St Nana!!!

Greetings from Bikaner House,/Palace Hotel,(a 130 year old hill station mansion, atop Mount Abu, Rajastan. Drove here from Udaipur, about three hours, this morning. Many White Langur monkeys by the roadside once we started climbing into the hills! Jugos Dom Pedro and Lady Darjeeling are swilling Kingfisher on the patio by the tennis courts while Lynne has a snooze. She spent all of yesterday in bed with a violent case of something that didn't agree with her. On the mend now so G&T's on the lovely terrace, outside our adjoining rooms, with a common siting room in between, this evening before dinner. Plenty of room for Ozzie Freeloaders so please join us! Cheers, Patrice!

Hello Lord Chardonnay! Greetings from Rajashtan. Plenty of room for Ozzie Freeloaders so please join us! Cheers, Patrice! Patrice, How are you? Your trip sounds amazing and your palatial surrounds (viewed on the web), remind me of British India. How long are you there for? Thank you for the offer of a room, however I had a look at airfares this morning from Sydney to Delhi and they were pretty expensive, over $4000 round trip in economy. What are your travel plans for 2016? I'll have to see if we can rendezvous somewhere not in war zone !! Love to the famm Chat soon, Mr Tiptoe Kelly
Christina Tassell So your upset tummy is well and truly mended Patrick James Dunn!

Patrick James Dunn
Patrick James Dunn I was never ill, Teens, only Lady Darjeeling! My medicine!
So first, so happy to know I'm still on the friend list. Wondered what you've been up to since leaving my fair city. Sounds like a fabulous trip, well except for the chicken. Not sure I could have eaten it after seeing it nicely alive and well. Oh well.  Hope to see you and Corinne one day soon and heat about all your adventures in person. Hugs, Janet

Krissy Seymour The cutest!!!!

Patrick James Dunn
Patrick James Dunn This is cute, Krissy!
Glad you guys are having a great holiday. Be sage, safe and well. Sunday was Jan's Birthday and to celebrate we went to a concert at the Scandinavian Club. Recommend that you watch for The Wardens--a new band that has hit the tour circuit in Western Canada. Three/Four guys who are all Banff Park Wardens or retired wardens. Projected slides, music, story telling--all original work. You will love them. In fact if you want to take up life as a concert promoter book yourselves to sponsor their Okanagan Tour. Be sage, safe and well.

Today we find out what the Government plans to do with 25,000 Syrian Refugees on their way to Canada before New Years. I think 210 is the number heading for Medicine Hat. Probably that means 100 for Penticton. You need to hurry home....

Patrick James Dunn Welcome home, JT! Perhaps we'll see you on December 10th, day we are back. Will be staying with Elaine and Ted so don't worry about more Freeloaders! This is our latest hotell, Bikaner House, in Mount Abu! Cheers! Jane White Looks like you're both surviving quite nicely. I am so jealous!

Hi Pat and Corrinne: You sound like you are having a wonderful time! I wish I was travelling with you! All is well in CB. We are getting excited about Sam and Kayla's wedding on Dec18 th in Sydney and then off to the Dominican for a destination symbolic wedding! Lots to tell, but you know me, I am off to do a few errands. On road my bike today to do errands, cool but very pleasant! Keep sending me your writings - I love to live vicariously.

Next week we are going to brave the snow and hike from the rifle range up Garnet Valley to the top of Wildhorse Mountain. Peter Parchomchuk will be our fearless leader. So we will meet at the Summerland IGA parking lot at 9am. Pentictonites can carpool at the Home Hardware at 8:40am. Afterwards we will have coffee or whatever at Good Omens. Pam
